Kerrianne Larkin-Telford (Q’orianka Kilcher) is the teenage daughter of Chibs Telford and Fiona Larkin, raised by Fiona and Jimmy O’Phelan. Growing up in Belfast with Fiona and Jimmy, Kerrianne is not very close to Chibs, although Chibs loves his daughter very much, referring to Fiona and Kerrianne as “my girls”. She does grow closer to Chibs while he is in Belfast. In the episode “Turas” she hugs Chibs, tells him that she loves him, and calls him dad. In “Bainne” she is seen with the rest of the SAMCRO family celebrating Abel’s safe return.

Thomas Teller is the son of Jax Teller and Tara Knowles. Younger brother of Abel Teller. Thomas is named after Jax’s deceased brother and Gemma’s second son. Tara became pregnant with Thomas sometime in season 2. In the season 2 finale, when grief-stricken and enraged Cameron Hayes burst into Jax and Tara’s house to kill Tara and/or baby Abel, Tara was aware that she was pregnant by that point—although not shown on screen when she found out. Tara’s pregnancy with Thomas is one of the extenuating circumstances that possibly contributed to Abel being kidnapped, due to Tara not wanting Cameron to harm or kill her—thus killing her baby. During season 3, pregnant Tara was put through the wringer, with being emotionally hurt and abandoned by Jax, and her grief and guilt over Abel’s abduction. She was upset and assaulted several times over the course of the season. When she was abducted and held captive by Salazar and his girlfriend Louisa; she was struck and kicked hard in the abdomen. After Jax rescued Tara, they went to the hospital to see if the unborn baby had been harmed. Luckily, the baby was healthy. Jax and Tara watched the ultrasound and heard their baby’s heartbeat. In the season finale, before events transpired and Jax and the others were hauled off to prison, Jax and Tara reconnected and Jax touched Tara’s stomach, telling his son that he loved him. He said he had a feeling it was a boy. By the end of season 3, Tara was a little over 8 weeks pregnant. At the beginning of season 4, due to the 14 month time jump between seasons, baby Thomas is approximately 6 to 7 months old. Since Jax was sent to prison, Thomas and his older brother have been raised by Tara meanwhile as a single mother with added help from Gemma.
In seasons 3 and 4, due to the short length of the seasons, Tara was showing very little to none in her pregnancy with Thomas. However, in 1 special feature “appisode” scene, with Tara and Piney, we see a pregnant Tara 5 to 6 months along. Also, in another special “appisode” scene (“Second Son”) with Tara and Gemma visiting Jax in prison, Tara had just given birth to Thomas and brought him to see his father. Jax meets Thomas and despite the harsh surroundings, they connect as a family in the moment. In honor of his son, Jax has a large tattoo of Thomas’ name on his left forearm.

Abel Teller is the son of Jax Teller and Wendy Case. Wendy purposely got pregnant with Abel to try to hold onto Jax, however that did not work, and Jax was largely absent during the pregnancy. When the baby trap didn’t get Jax to stay with Wendy, she began using drugs again. She was pregnant at the time and this caused Abel to be born approximately 2 1/2 to 3 months premature with cardiac and digestive system problems. It appeared that Abel was not going to make it. However, Tara saved Abel during surgery, and after a long period in the neonatal intensive care unit at St. Thomas Hospital, he was removed from the incubation chamber (in episode “The Pull”). Aside from some minor problems with formula, he appeared to be a happy and healthy baby. In the episode “The Sleep of Babies,” Abel was finally released from the hospital and a welcome home party was held for him. In season 2, Abel’s biological mother Wendy went to a sober living home and Abel was taken care of by Gemma, Tara and Jax. Gemma hires a nanny, ‘Neeta, for extra help. In the season 2 finale, a grief-stricken and enraged Cameron Hayes burst into Jax and Tara’s home to attempt to kill Tara and baby Abel. When Cameron was about to kill the baby, Halfsack and Tara ran to stop him. Halfsack saved Abel by being killed instead. At the time, Tara was secretly pregnant with Abel’s younger brother, Thomas. Cameron kidnapped Abel and Jax and the others were in hot pursuit of Cameron. Cameron however managed to escape on a boat, leaving a devastated Jax screaming on the pier. Cameron fled to Ireland with the baby and during season 3, Jax and the club were in desperate search of the missing baby, fearing the worst, that perhaps he was even killed. Abel was in several places in Ireland, including an adoption facility somewhere in Belfast, Northern Ireland (as seen near the end of episode 1 of the 3rd season). Married couple Katey and Mark Petrie (played by Lilly McDowell and Matthew Alan) eventually adopt Abel. When Jax finally finds Abel, he watches Abel with his adoptive parents from a distance and has a mental conundrum about whether to retrieve his son or leave him to have a chance at living a normal, safe, and stable life away from the violence and death of his world. Jimmy O ultimately kills the Petries and kidnaps Abel to use as leverage to get out of Belfast. Unable to intervene, Jax finds Abel’s beanie, with Clay taking it from him, saying “I’ll give it back when we find him”. In a Real IRA sanctioned swap, Jimmy later returns Abel to Jax in exchange for a new hostage, Father Kellan Ashby. Upon Jax’s return to Charming, Gemma hosts a big breakfast, to celebrate both his safe return, and Tara’s pregnancy. At the breakfast, Clay keeps his promise by putting the beanie on Abel’s head. Abel is the older brother of Thomas. At the beginning of season 4, after the 14 month time jump between seasons, Abel is now a toddler. Since his father Jax was sent to prison, he has been cared for by his mother Tara, and grandmother Gemma. It is stated in an “appisode” that Wendy signed over full custodial rights to Tara. Abel is heard calling Tara “mommy” in season 4 episode 2. Jax has a large tattoo, “Abel”, in honor of his son on his left chest area, near his heart.

Fiona Larkin (Bellina Logan) is Chibs’ estranged wife and is introduced in season 2. Fiona first appears at Chibs’ bedside when he is hospitalized after nearly being killed by a car bomb. Fiona’s presence instantly makes it clear to the Sons that Real IRA member, Jimmy O’Phelan, is in Charming and that Chibs’ life is in danger. It is revealed that years before, Jimmy O’Phelan ran Chibs out of the Real IRA back in Belfast and subsequently married Fiona and raised Chibs’ daughter Kerrianne. The reason for Chibs’ expulsion from the Real IRA is yet to be revealed.
When SAMCRO arrives in Belfast, Chibs is finally able to reunite with his family. The Sons learn that Fiona and Kerrianne are now under constant protection by the Real IRA because of the threat Jimmy O’Phelan poses to their safety. In the season 3 finale, Chibs finally murders Jimmy, leaving him free to get his family back, but it is not yet known whether or not Fiona will move to California to be with Chibs, due to her IRA ties.

Lyla Dvorak Winston (Winter Ave Zoli) is a porn star employed by Luann Delaney and is introduced in season 2. She and Opie begin to grow close after they first meet. Like Opie, Lyla is a single parent and she helps him with his children. It is shown she might have a drug problem since Opie finds vials of cocaine in her car when she brings it in to be fixed. Later Opie has her contact her dealer to purchase some drugs to plant on someone. Opie’s involvement with Lyla was not entirely welcome by some, particularly Gemma and Tara, who initially are unable to look past Lyla’s profession. She’s seen in the season finale with Opie and the rest of the club at the police station, waiting for word about Zobelle and Weston.
In season 3, it is implied that Lyla has retired from porn much to Opie’s relief. When Henry Lin asks Clay to provide escorts in exchange for cash and weapons for a business party, Lyla rallies together her porn star friends. However, much to Opie’s chagrin, she decides to also perform because she wants to help SAMCRO. At the party, Opie keeps his cool until he sees Lyla take a businessman to a back room and then he proceeds to start a fight. It is shown that Lyla and Tara have become friends, despite the rough start they got off to in season 2. When Lyla found out about Jax having sex with Ima after Tara caught them, she slaps Ima in the face. After SAMCRO goes to Belfast, Lyla tells Tara that she is pregnant with Opie’s child and that she is secretly going to abort it. She explains that while she loves Opie, she is not ready for another child. She would rather continue her pornstar career while she can, instead of having another child. In the season 3 finale, Opie proposes to Lyla with his grandmother’s ring and she says yes. Opie does not know about the abortion. In the beginning of season 4, she is still a porn star but is only involved in girl on girl. she is getting ready for the wedding. Opie tells her it is not too late to run. She tells him she is not running and that she is part of the family whether he likes it or not. It is hinted that Lyla may be pregnant again as Opie says that he is happy they are adding to the family. Later Lyla and Opie get married and they share a dance at the reception. Later in season four, while visiting Lyla’s porn site for business with SAMCRO, Opie finds Lyla’s birth control in her dressing room. Angered and seeking comfort, Opie turns to Lyla’s co-star, Ima, for a one night stand that took place at the SAMCRO club house. The next morning, Lyla goes in search of her husband, who did not return home the night before she discovers Ima leaving the club house. The two “porn stars” exchange words and Ima pulls a gun on Lyla. This endangers everyone there including Gemma, Piney, Tara, and Jax and Tara’s infant Thomas. Ima leaves without pulling the trigger and Lyla extremly upset. Later in the episode Lyla and Opie talk. Opie confesses to finding her birth control and Lyla confesses to having an abortion with his child a year earlier. Opie is upset and walks away stating that he would stay at the clubhouse and she needs to decide what she wants to do. Later Opie contacts her to find Georgie, where they have a brief talk, agreeing that their relationship cannot work so as long as Opie still thinks about Donna.

Wendy Case (Drea de Matteo) is Jax Teller’s ex-wife and the biological mother of his son, Abel Teller. Wendy intentionally became pregnant, in hopes that it would keep Jax with her. She is a drug addict who used methamphetamine during her pregnancy, which nearly killed Abel. He was born seriously premature with health problems. After learning the reasons for her grandson’s birth defects, Gemma gives her drugs with the instructions to commit suicide via overdose. Gemma threatens that if Wendy does not obey, Gemma will use her ex-daughter-in-law’s drug addiction to ensure Wendy never has any contact with Abel. Wendy goes into rehab and spends time in a sober living facility. She longed to reunite with Jax, believing that the stability of her family would assist her recovery. Gemma, desiring to destroy her son’s relationship with Tara, promises to help Wendy reunite with Jax. After a rift develops between Tara and Jax and then the murder of Donna Winston, Jax and Wendy sleep together. She is last seen in season 1 at Donna’s funeral watching Tara kiss Jax, after which her whereabouts are unknown, presumably still in the sober living facility. She returns in season 4 and visits Tara in her hospital room. She reminds her that she is Abel’s mother and while she may not have the right to raise him anymore, she has the right to know him. She later goes to Jax and Tara’s house to see Abel. She finds Gemma in his room, and informs her that she has not only been sober for two years, but received her BA and is now a substance abuse counselor. She also informs Gemma that she realized she likes women. Gemma begrudgingly agrees to let Wendy see Abel, but under her terms. Jax later confronts Wendy at her job telling her that Abel doesn’t know who she is, and doesn’t want her in Abel’s life. Wendy responds that Jax is a convicted felon, and she turned her life around. She states that if she doesn’t get to be part of Abel’s life, she will sue for custody.

Dr. Tara Knowles (Maggie Siff) is Jax’s main love interest. She is the mother of his son Thomas, and is the acting mother of his other son Abel. She is currently Jax’s “old lady” and has been in training by Gemma, to be the next “Queen”. She is second only to Gemma with the females in the SAMCRO community. Tara was Jax’s high-school sweetheart and during this era she got a special crow/heart tattoo on her lower back signifying she was an “old lady” of a club member (Jax). Tara left town when Jax was 19, trying to get away from small-town life and the heavy-handed influence of the club. She moved back to Charming after becoming a doctor and now works as a pediatric resident at the local hospital, St. Thomas. She initially lived in her childhood home which was left to her by her father when he died. However, by the end of season 3, she was exclusively living at Jax’s house. Tara is a capable physician and often tended to Jax’s gravely ill infant son, Abel, during the infant’s hospitalization. She saved his life during surgery. Tara has also secretly helped out various club members and SAMCRO family, tending to their wounds, after they have been injured. She also provided emergency medical care to Cameron Hayes after he was shot during the attempt on Clay’s life. When Tara was growing up, she and Gemma were close and she viewed Gemma as a mother figure to an extent. However, after Tara left the club life and Charming, thereby hurting Jax and the family, Gemma held a deep resentment and grudge against her. So at the beginning of the series, she and Gemma, both strong women, started out on bad terms while also grudgingly respecting each other. After L.O.A.N.’s attack on Gemma, however, their relationship improved due to Tara’s vow to keep the incident a secret from the rest of the club, including Jax, and her continued moral and medical support for Gemma. Tara became pregnant with Thomas sometime in season 2, although it was not shown when she found out and was not revealed until season 3. By the time Abel was kidnapped by Cameron Hayes at the end of season 2, Tara already knew she was pregnant. The kidnapping shook the whole family and club, especially Jax and Tara’s relationship. Though, Tara continued to live in Charming with Jax, but their relationship was very strained. Early on in season 3, a devastated Jax, emotionally hurt her, slept with Ima, and tried pushing Tara away in a misguided effort to protect her. For a short time, Jax thought Tara was dead after she was abducted. Towards the end of season 3, they were able to reconcile after Tara and unborn baby Thomas’ lives were in peril when Tara was abducted and assaulted by SAMCRO enemy Salazar. In the season 3 finale Tara was the one who found letters John Teller wrote before his death, expressing his fears and pain of living in Charming. At the end of one of the letters it is revealed that John was killed, allegedly, by Gemma and Clay. During Jax’s 14 month prison term (in the space of time between season 3 and season 4), Tara was a single mother raising both Abel and Thomas, with help from Gemma. She continues practicing medicine and lives in Jax’s house, where she is raising their boys. She tries hard during the season to make sure Jax, the boys and her can leave SAMCRO and Charming once and for all, as she begins to grow more distrustful of the club and its life, mostly due to the increasing violence of the Cartel War along with Ima’s presence and a threat letter by Wayne Unser to keep her safe from Clay and his interest in the letters. A peaceful opportunity appears as she’s chosen for a job in a hospital at Oregon, where she can take a new job. However this fails as assassins hired by Clay to kill her, briefly kidnapped her and her right hand was slammed with the vehicle’s door, thus damaging her career. Although she is further encouraged to go, as they are willing to accept her, she is faced by Gemma who reveals the truth about Clay and she gives the letters to Gemma, fully aware that she wants to pull Jax deeper into the club, but she makes him promise to leave together after killing Clay. This fails as Jax is forced to remain president by the threat of Romero Parada and Luis Torres of crushing the club with their CIA influence. Tara decides to remain in Charming with Jax, effectively becoming the new Queen of Charming.

This fails as Jax is forced to remain president by the threat of Romero Parada and Luis Torres of crushing the club with their CIA influence. Tara decides to remain in Charming with Jax, effectively becoming the new Queen of Charming.

Herman Kozik (Kenny Johnson) was a member of the Tacoma chapter of the Sons of Anarchy. He first appeared in the Season 2 episode “The Culling” where he provided extra muscle when the Charming clubhouse was on lockdown. He is a Former US Marine and an Ex-Junkie. He appeared again in the Season 3 premiere at Half-Sack’s wake, where he told Clay and Bobby that he wanted to come back to the Charming chapter. When Kozik showed up at SAMCRO with transfer papers, Tig vetoed the vote due to lack of trust. Kozik then decided to stick around to earn Tig’s trust. First he and Piney lure the Mayans heroin shipment into SAMCRO’s hands after flattening the van’s tire. Later Kozik and Tig sneak into St. Thomas to silence the Calaveras member from the drive-by as part of SAMCRO’s new deal with the Mayans. Kozik has a contentious relationship with Tig and in episode 3.8, Tig states that it involves a female from both of their pasts. When Tara Knowles and Margaret Murphy are taken hostage, Kozik proves to be useful. When Salazar demands that the club kills Marcus Alvarez, Kozik is the one who convinces Alvarez to play along to help buy time so SAMCRO can find a way to get the women back. Following Tara’s rescue, Tig once again votes against Kozik’s transfer. It is revealed that the “woman” from both of their pasts was a female dog named Missy. In Season 4, Kozik is revealed to have been patched into SAMCRO after Tig went to Stockton Prison, a fact Tig happily accepts upon being released. He was killed in the episode “Call of Duty” by stepping on a landmine that exploded while fighting the Cartel, his last words were “You gotta be shittin me”.

Piermont “Piney” Winston (William Lucking) was a co-founder of SAMCRO and father of Opie Winston. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and must carry an oxygen tank with him at all times due to emphysema. He was upset with the direction the club was going especially after Donna’s death. In the season one finale, it was revealed that he was given a copy of John Teller’s manuscript which he passed onto Jax at Donna’s funeral. Piney threatened Clay that if he didn’t close the cartel deal and get out of the drug business, he would reveal JT’s letters to the club, revealing Clay’s true character (or lack thereof). Clay goes to the cabin where Piney was secluding himself, where Clay demands the letters. Piney tells Clay they aren’t there, and Clay suspects out loud that Tara had them. Piney asks Clay to not get Tara involved to which Clay replies, “too late” before shooting him at point-blank-range in the chest with his shotgun. Before leaving the cabin, Clay checks to be sure Piney is dead and - literally - with Piney’s blood on his hands, marking the wall with “LS” an attempt to make Piney’s death look like a hit by rival drug cartel Lobos Sonora, with which SAMCRO has been having conflict. Piney is the 2nd member of Opie’s family to have been killed at Clay’s hand and the third First 9 member.
